Mother’s Spa Day in Pictou Landing was a great success. It was sold out before the big day. The blustery winter afternoon did not dampen the lively spirit of women who held a ticket to participate in a day of pampering by the beauty experts which included a massage. For when they walk through the door the warm friendly smiles greeted them to a room of tranquil music and decor that promised extravagant indulgence. The pampered women were treated to a relaxing afternoon of manicure, pedicure, hairstyling, make-up by Mary Kay and a massage.
The afternoon was filled with activities including decadent snacks, chocolate fountain and refreshments, and many fabulous prizes donated by the local merchants. The beauty specialists who volunteering their time are: Cathy Francis & Anna Jean O’Neil – Hair Stylists, Charlie’s Hair & Nails- Nails & waxing, Dana Ross- Massage Therapy, Ashley Hebert from Essential Elements- Massage Therapy, Mae Ormond – Pedicures & Facials, Barb Burns- Jin Shin Jyutsu.
