Recent field day, Foncie Farrell (Port Hawkesbury Paper) does some tree ID with the Wagamatcook students.

Students from Eskasoni, Wagmatcook and We’koqma’q are preparing for the upcoming two day provincial Envirothon competition. Each week the students meet to work on the key topics both in the classroom and outdoors doing “hands-on” learning.
The Nova Scotia Envirothon competition will be held at the NS Agricultural College on May 24-25, 2012. With over 125 students from across Nova Scotia expected to participate. The key topics the students work on are: Forestry, Soils, Wildlife, Aquatic Ecology and a current issue each year. Th ...
