Tripartite Forum Language Page Colouring Contest Winners for March 2012

The Mi’kmaq • Nova Scotia • Canada Tripartite Forum would like to extend its sincere congratulations to six talented, young students from Mi’kmawey School in Potlotek First Nation. The colouring sheets are available in every issue of the Mi’kmaq-Maliseet Nations News and also in Portable Document Format (PDF) at www.tripartiteforum.com.

The seven artistic youth chosen as the winners for March 2012 are: Nathanial Johnson (Grade 2), Annie Isaac (Grade 3), Grace Julian (Grade 4), Hope Johnson (Grade 5), John Michael (Grade 6), and Tena Marshall (Grade 7).

Students and youth are strongly encouraged to participate in the colouring contest and to also send their completed art work to the Tripartite Forum. Each month, one winner will be selected from each grade. The chosen winners will receive some wonderful prizes from the Tripartite Forum but know that everyone is a winner when it comes to learning our language!
The Tripartite Forum Language Page Colouring Contest is an initiative of the Tripartite Forum Mi’kmaw Language sub-committee, which is overseen by the Culture and Heritage and Education Working Committees respectively. The contest is sponsored by the Tripartite Forum and the Nova Scotia Office of Aboriginal Affairs.
