Four projects benefiting women in Nova Scotia are receiving more than $1.1 million in federal funding, Status of Women Minister Rona Ambrose announced Wednesday, May 3rd, 2012.

“These projects will make a difference in the lives of women and girls right here in Nova Scotia,” Ambrose said while at a press conference in Halifax.

“We know that women and girls are key to the prosperity of communities across Canada and we believe that women’s safety goes hand in hand with our economic security. That’s why we are supporting projects like these that address issues of violence and economic security for women and girls in rural and remote communities,” stated Minister Ambrose.
