NSNWA President, Cheryl Maloney held a press conference regarding the Victoria Paul Report.

The Nova Scotia Native Women’s Association (NSNWA) and the family of the late Victoria Paul, with the support of the Assembly of Nova Scotia Chiefs, have received the investigative report that took nearly three years that outlined what really happened in the Truro Police Lock up to the late Victoria Paul. Upon Victoria’s death the above parties spearheaded the request which led to an inquiry under the Public Inquires Act, however, the Minister of Justice decided to conduct the investigation under the Police Act.
