On September, 16 Millbrook youth and 17 adults headed off to the Cape Breton Highlands for the Annual Youth Moose Harvest Camp. The camp has been up and running for close to ten years and is meant to help promote our traditional culture and community bonding by providing kids with a chance to hunt moose communally. The kids are taught about conservation, how to properly hunt game, handle firearms safely, clean the animal and take care of the meat. They also learn how to work together as a team.
