On March 27, 2013 in Dartmouth Mr. Joseph Denny, Executive Director of NADACA on behalf of the NADACA Board of Directors accepted the plaque and certificate presented by Mr. Calvin Wood CEO of Canadian Accreditation Council that will be displayed proudly in the NADACA’s office. Ms. Leanna MacLeod Clinical Director/Councillor accepted the plaque and certificate for the Eagle’s Nest Recovery House and Mr. Lloyd Gould Clinical Director/Councillor accepted the plaque and certificate for Mi’Kmaw Lodge. On hand on this auspicious occasion were NADACA Board of Directors, Debra Keays-White, Regional Executive, Heath Canada, Leslie Keays-White, Community Development and Liaison Officer, Health Canada, and Peter MacGregor, A/Regional Manager Mental Wellness, Health Canada.
In Recognition of showing dedication to a process based on best practice standards and promoting service excellence on February 5th, 2013 NADACA, Eagle’s Nest and Mi”kmaw Lodge was granted a three year accreditation certification with Canadian Accreditation Council of Human Services. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who were instrumental in this mile stone, Health Canada and NADACA Board of Directors for their commitment and support of this endeavor, our dedicated managers and staff as well as the collaborative efforts of the communities.
