On Monday, June 10, National Chief Shawn Atleo, a representative for the Honourable Bernard Valcourt, Minister of Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development, Grand Chief Ben Sylliboy, Kji-keptin Antle Denny, Assembly of First Nations Regional Chief Morley Googoo, and Chairman of Mi’kmaw Kina’matnewey, Chief Leroy Denny, joined hundred of students, teachers and parents at a grand opening of the new Wagmatcookewey School, and in congratulating Wagmatcook First Nation for the dedication, perseverance, and hard work that has gone into making it a reality.
