Riparian Zone Restoration and Education in Millbrook

This summer, Millbrook Fisheries and the Mi’kmaw Conservation Group (MCG) are undertaking an ambitious stream restoration project to restore and clean up stream riparian zones. The riparian zone is a designated area surrounding waterways. Riparian zones are important because they improved water quality, they help to absorb and hold water, they can help control flooding, they reduce stream bank erosion and they provide critical habitat for fish and other animals to grow and thrive.
