On Thursday, November 7th, hundreds of Shubencadie Band community members honoured veterans with a special Remembrance Day ceremony.

The ceremony began with a walk from the community’s cemetery to its cenotaph, lead by Chief Rufus Copage. The ceremony finished at LSK, where proud veteran himself, Chief Copage, addressed staff, students, parents, teachers, and community members.

At the unveiling of the new cenotaph, Chief Copage reflects on the sacred place of remembrance.
