GLOOSCAP – Sidney Carl Peters has been re-elected as the chief of the Glooscap First Nation.

He joins two fellow incumbents and one new councillor on the band council.

Sidney Peters was elected as chief with 174 votes. The other candidate, Michael Andrew Halliday, received 12 votes – with 182 votes in total for chief.

Jean Louise Labradore Powers (incumbent), Leonard David (Larry) Peters (incumbent) and Lynwood James (Woody) Peters will also sit on the council.
