Since 2012 The Confederacy of Mainland Mi’kmaq (CMM) has committed to increasing capacity in our communities to work within the Green sector. This has included the implementation of summer student program under the Mi’kmaw Conservation Group (MCG) where students from our communities are hired to work on community based environmental projects alongside full time staff at the MCG. Every year the students are given the opportunity to develop educational games related to their projects to deliver to the youth in our communities. This year, thirteen (13) MCG summer students teamed up with communities’ youth day camps to deliver various games, activities and educational materials to the younger children.
