Lindsey Thompson.

Lindsey Thompson joined the APC team as the Health Policy Analyst on October 3, 2017. She graduated with a BSc from St. FX, a Diploma in Dental Hygiene from Dalhousie, and her Master of Public Health from Memorial University.

As a dental hygienist for six years, she enjoyed working with a team and building trusting relationships with her patients. She was involved with many dental hygiene professional organizations and gave public presentations on dental public health. Through this work she became passionate about health equity. Health policy seemed the most effective route to address the many health disparities and issues with access to care Lindsey came across in her professional life as well as her personal life having lived rural and remote communities (both in Newfoundland and Labrador and Nunavut).

Lindsey completed her work placement with the Heart and Stroke Foundation, working on stakeholder engagement, program evaluation, and sugar sweetened beverage initiatives and policies.

Lindsey looks forward to working with our First Nations communities and APC partners.
