Ottawa – Her Excellency the Right Honourable Julie Payette, Governor General of Canada, invested 10 Officers and 34 Members into the Order of Canada during a ceremony at Rideau Hall, on Friday, November 17, 2017. Membertou Chief Terrance Paul was recogonized for his strong leadership and has dedicated his life to establishing a better future for his constituents, especially for youth. For more than three decades, as a leader and member of Indigenous advisory committees, he has championed the preservation of language and history through education.
