P’jilasi, it’s been a great year for our Food Fishery Lobster Harvest here at Potlotek First Nation. Potlotek Fisheries would like to share our positive fishing experience and generosity to our much appreciated band members. Since the being of October a few community fishermen (Captain George Johnson, First Mates Jaret Murray and Sheldon Marshall) have been volunteering their time fishing lobster for our community. Our very own Fishery Guardian and Fishery Technician, Alan Marshall and Patrick Butler have spent countless hours taking care of the lobster and distributing them to the community. To date they have brought in approximately 4000 lbs of lobster with an estimated retail value of $52,000, which was distributed to our community for FREE.
