Tribute to Six Late Chiefs who created a fine respected organization, The Confederacy of Mainland Mi’kmaq.

But first, as I have for the other five Chiefs when they passed away, I want to pay a personal Tribute to a trusted friend, Roddie Francis, former Chief of the Pictou Landing Mi’kmaw Community and District Chief of the Mainland, who passed away the weekend of March 14, 2020, and is now in the company of relatives and friends in the Land of Souls. He leaves behind his beloved wife Shirley, children, relatives and lots of friends.
