Glooscap First Nation continues to lead the way in rural economic development in Nova Scotia’s Annapolis Valley.

On April 11th, local MLA Keith Irving joined Chief Sidney Peters in announcing a joint nation-to-nation project to bring fiber-op internet to Glooscap First Nation, the Glooscap Landing Project and the neighboring community of Bishopville and Ben Jackson Road.

Members of Glooscap First Nation were joined by residents of the neighbouring community at the band hall to learn that Glooscap is partnering with the Province of Nova Scotia to co-fund a $120,000 infrastructure project that will connect more than 120 homes and businesses. The Province will contribute $75,000 towards the project.
