Student Leadership and Campus Involvement

The workshops for this stream are targeted to college/university students. They are geared toward capacity development and promotion of leadership among youth and young adults while pursuing their post-secondary education.

Topics of interest to explore are:

  • Leadership roles on campus;
  • Academic supports;
  • Mental health and wellness;
  • Extra-curricular leadership;
  • Research development;
  • Sports – Cultural events;
  • Academic excellence;
  • Self-identification and Pride; and
  • Financing options: Scholarship/Bursaries.

Innovation in Aboriginal Programming & Pedagogy

The focus in this stream is to look at best practices in Aboriginal programming and pedagogy in Atlantic post-secondary institutions.

It is an opportunity for faculty, researchers and administrators to share knowledge on:

  • Curriculum development;
  • Aboriginal perspectives;
  • Research;
  • Community engagement;
  • Partnership building;
  • Faculty/Student Relations Building; and
  • Aboriginal education in Atlantic Canada.
