The picturesque Wagmatcook First Nation and its 700 registered Band members is located on the shores of the Bras d’Or Lakes in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia near the world famous Cabot Trail. Economic development is top of mind for this dynamic community as it continues to expand its commercial fishery enterprise (CFE). Most recently, Band leaders made a business decision to purchase three new snow crab corporate licenses to harvest in CFA 23 off the coast of Cape Breton.
