As Mi’kmaq and Maliseet First Nations (MMFN) make important decisions regarding economic development priorities, the lucrative fish farming sector known as aquaculture is top of mind for many. Proximity to the ocean, lakes and rivers opens the door to opportunity in aquaculture and several MMFNs are taking advantage.
