Together, MCG and community members from Annapolis Valley planted a butterfly garden.

Maintaining a healthy watershed is imperative to maintaining a healthy community both physically and culturally. Together, the Mi’kmaw Conservation Group (MCG) and community volunteers have been working to restore the Bay of Fundy Watershed by restoring streams and educating the public on ways to prevent water quality degradation. Through the restoration of streams, ponds and wetlands, water quality is being enhanced and ecosystems are being turned back into healthy habitats that support and sustain culturally significant plants and animals.
