LONGUEUIL, Quebec, December 29, 2016 – The three Mi’kmaw communities of Quebec and Innergex Renewable Energy Inc. (TSX: INE) (“Innergex” or the “Corporation”) are proud to announce that the 150 MW Mesgi’g Ugju’s’n wind farm, located in Gaspésie, Quebec, has begun commercial operation.

The project is owned by the Mesgi’g Ugju’s’n (MU) Wind Farm, L.P., an entity controlled 50-50 by the three Mi’kmaw communities of Quebec – Gesgapegiag, Gespeg and Listuguj and by Innergex, which was in charge of the management of the construction and will be responsible for the operation of the wind farm. The project is located on public lands in the Avignon Regional County Municipality in Quebec. Construction began in May 2015 and was completed within budget.
