Eskasoni’s Allison Bernard Memorial High School (ABMHS) held their annual “Role Model of the Year,” ceremonies at the high school on December 14, 2017. It has become a great annual tradition when the ABMHS students and staff selects a Mi’kmaw Elder to be the recipient of this year’s role model of the year.

This year’s 2017 “Role Model of the Year” was extra special when the students selected two Role Models. They are both 84 year olds and have lead two totally different lives. They are Al Oakley and Bessie Prosper.
