We made it through January and February and I am so looking forward to March. Why March?? It has March Break and it ends with Good Friday. Don’t get me wrong, I love my job… but a little break doesn’t hurt.

We are well into our second semester for high school and with that said, we welcome back some familiar faces; it is good to see you back. Good luck folks… and welcome back.

The students (and staff) are anxiously awaiting everything that the month of March will bring, starting off with our school winter carnival. So… during the week of the 5th to 9th we will be celebrating with theme days and activities, which will include movies and the RECC. The themes include, “Crazy Hair/Hat Day”, “Mi’kmaw Colour Day”, “Pyjama Day” (complete with stuffed animal), “Super Hero Day” and “Sports Themed Day”. Some of the activities planned include Beyond Indoor Play, “Amazing Race”, a cafeteria dance, “Minute-to-win-it”… just to name a few. I am sure everyone is looking forward to the fun filled week before they enjoy their March Break week.

Our potential graduates are busy with their fundraising efforts, which included “Indian Tacos” and “649 Bingo”. Just let me say, any time our students host a fundraiser involving good food, they can always count on me to support them.
