Hello to all and welcome back to Shirley’s Corner. That’s right folks we are back in full swing, where things can get out of hand and you never know who will be sharing the lime light with your two favourite pals Buddy and Nitap. ( soon as I can find them )

For the first issue I would like to introduce two new characters who are just out of the woods. What a pair, they are ruthless and sneaky can’t be trusted I tell you. Yet at the same time they are funny. So kick off your shoes, sit back and enjoy the adventure as “The Rude Awakening” unfolds.

Rude Awakening

Tis the wee hours of the night I thought. The sun has not awakened as of yet. Sleepy eyed I peered out the window expecting to be greeted by silence as night should be. In a distance among the trees I heard the cawing of crows. What! But its still dark, the moon is still hanging over the western sky I can see the stars twinkling in all its splendour. Somebody had better tell those darn birds about their timing I thought to myself as I went back to the warmth of my bed and drifted off to dreamland.

CAW! CAW!” I pulled the blankets over my head trying to drown out the noise. “CAW! CAW! GET UP! GET UP!” They seem to say. “Go away! Go away! Its still nighttime,” I yelled back at them. “CAW! CAW! CAW! CAW!” “O great, now their laughing at me. Okay! Okay I get the picture I’m up for Pete’s sakes.”
