Habaitat For Humanity PEI to Build Five Homes in Lennox Island

Habitat for Humanity PEI and Lennox Island First Nation have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding to bring Habitat’s model of affordable homeownership to Lennox Island. This will be the first Habitat build on a First Nation in PEI and only the second such partnership in Atlantic Canada. The goal of the MOU is a total of five homes over the next 3 years: one in 2019, two in 2020, and two in 2021.

Habitat for Humanity PEI’s CEO, Aaron Brown, stated that the goal of the project is to play a part in the overall housing plan for the First Nation and to bring the self-reliance and independence that comes with affordable homeownership.
