Boxing is growing sport in Eskasoni. Recently, the new boxing team Red Tribe has competed in the first international boxing card and has made history for the Mi’kmaq boxing club named, Red Tribe boxing, took the Mi’kmaq flag to compete in Jamaica on November 17, 2018 In Montego Bay. Taking five strong young boxers, attending the event were Arthur Johnson, Braedon Paul-Levi, Kobe Peck, Brayden Leblanc and Ethan Marshall. Before the boxing card Peter Stevens took the stage singing the Mi’kmaq honour song, to open the card.
