Lobster Fishing Vessel the Sassy Sue.

This small Mi’kmaw community located in southern New Brunswick near Dorchester, has recently expanded its commercial fishing enterprise (CFE) with the acquisition of a new lobster fishing license in the Gulf (LFA 25). With approximately 125 members, Fort Folly First Nation may be small in numbers, but it is big in courage and determination.

The Band selected the new license because of its proximity to the community and its summer season. Fort Folly First Nation currently has two Band-owned vessels and two other lobster fishing licenses in the Minas Basin of the Bay of Fundy that operate in the Spring and Fall seasons.
