The Indigenous aquaculture marine industry in the Atlantic Region is a growing and thriving business. It is important to be safe when working in marine industries such as commercial fishing and aquaculture operations where vessels, large or small, are used to harvest or cultivate. Safety Advisors from the Safest Catch Program have been providing optional, free, on-site mentoring services for Mi’kmaq and Maliseet First Nations (MMFN) since 2013.
