Losing Sherise has left a big void with not only her family but her community of Eskasoni. For many years Sherise and her husband were always there to support the community when needed. From prayers, to food and community fundraising events.

“Sherise left behind a legacy of hope. She instilled hope in so many people fighting cancer. Mi’kmaq Run for the Cure started because she saw the need for community and support, something she knew she and her friends needed,” said Paul.
