Launch of the fourth Edition of We Were Not the Savages will be September 30th, at the KTS Room, 2nd Floor, New Academic Bldg., University of King’s College, 6530 Coburg Rd, Halifax, NS B3M 1T1 Keynote Speaker will be Dr. Pamela Palmater, Professor and Chair in Indigenous Governance, Ryerson University, Cathy Martin, Mi’kmaw Educator and Filmmaker will sing and say a few words, etc. Signed copies by Danny will be available.

To the memory of my ancestors, who managed to ensure the survival of the Mi’kmaw People by their awe-inspiring tenacity and valour in the face of virtually insurmountable odds! For more than four centuries these courageous, dignified and heroic people displayed a determination to survive the various hells on earth created for them by Europeans with a tenacity that equals any displayed in the history of humankind. May their brave accomplishment inspire the Mi’kmaq and other oppressed Peoples to meet the challenges of today and tomorrow!
