It is hard to believe that we are almost at the end of the 2021/2022 school year. It has been one interesting year, what with everything associated with Covid-19. There was school, then no school, then school, then no school, then school… very confusing. But… our staff and students managed to deal with the online learning process and now… preparations are underway for the graduation of our grade twelve students. It is pretty exciting because we can now have a proper celebration of their accomplishment!!

Speaking of graduates, we had six of our Educational Assistants graduate with their Early Childhood Education (ECE) certificates. Congratulations to Doreen Knockwood, Andrea Brooks, Teressa Augustine, Chloe Maloney, Kanisha Levi and Roddie Gould. The attached photo is one I borrowed from Facebook. I hope it is okay with the photographer because I was not able to attend the ceremony.

Our staff, especially the newer staff are busy keeping our students focused and working. Adam Sweeney has students wanting to learning how to play guitar… after school hours. Lise Charbonneau brought in people to teach our students how to play lacrosse during their physical education classes. Erin O’Grady is working well in the elementary learning centre while Glenn Nightingale is busy with Tech Ed.
