Kwe’, my name is Cassidy LaPorte. I am from both Membertou and Sipekne’katik First Nation, the proud daughter of Edwin and Shawnee LaPorte. I grew up the eldest of four children in Membertou and graduated from Sydney Academy in 2019. I am currently in my third year of my Medical Science undergraduate degree and recently transferred to Dalhousie University from York University in Toronto Ontario. As a Membertou summer student, I will be working in the Health Department at Atlantic Policy Congress of First Nations Chiefs Secretariat (APCFNC).
